	remove S_IFPIPE which is always zero and doesn't really exist
	
	use S_IFIFO directly instead of S_IFPORT and remove S_IFPORT
	
	S_IFPORT perhaps should exist and have a different
	value on Solaris, but nobody ever noticed, so err
	toward both reduction and preserving semantics
