Log message:
	Finally solved a long-known problem of pkg reports: it seems that
	the Solaris shell doesn't like output redirections for whole if
	statements. I think this shell must be bug-compatible to one from
	around 1980 :-/
	
	We should really use ksh on Solaris. But that would require more
	complex setup for all scripts. Jay will say +1 for Python ;-)
