Log message:
	some work on NT/cygwin/mingw target renaming
	work on using GNU as for I386_SOLARIS, including looking for existing
	files with $(shell) in the Makefile
	However a properly configured gcc 4.5.0 doesn't have the problem so
	either I misconfigured or it is a fixed bug, so Solaris assembler
	probably after all.
