	while I'm imagining TARGET = TARGET_ARCH & "_" & TARGET_OS
	plus possibly a "32" or "64" thrown in (we have ARCH="PPC"
	and "SPARC" for example), that is,
	each configuration is just two includes, for now just
	have SOLsun and SOLgnu do little more than include("SPARC32_SOLARIS")
