	Adapt to an inconsistency in what seek methods do at EOF.
	Some (e.g. FileRd) advance to an empty buffer beginning at len(rd).
	Others (e.g. TextRd) leave the current (and only, in this case)
	buffer as-is, ending at len(rd).
