  save away FreeBSD.common to FreeBSD-old.common, likely for pre-4.7
make FreeBSD.common more like Linux.common, esp. wrt -z origin
FreeBSD ld gained -z origin in 4.7.
Some day maybe we'll be portable enough to just work with older systems
but for now, we don't care much.
