[M3devel] volume of cm3-related email traffic

I appreciate all the work everyone is doing these days on cm3, but I am having a problem I'd like to describe.
I'm getting a large number of cm3-related email messages relayed to me each day. In many cases, I'm getting two copies of each message because folks are also addressing the message to me in addition to the m3devel list.

The email address I've put on the m3devel and m3commit lists is my work email address. So, the large number of messages is now interfering with my job. In the past, this wasn't a problem because there weren't very many messages.

I know I could change my email address for these mail lists to a private home mailbox, but I would not be able to check this box as frequently. Before I take this action, here are some suggestions I have:

1. Don't include the original sender on your reply; instead, just address to m3devel
[I know I've been guilty about just lazily hitting the reply button without deleting the extra addresses, so this suggestion applies to me as well.]

2. Try not to use m3devel as a blog for a steady-stream of thought. Maybe we should setup a blog or something for this type of activity.

3. Try to think through and test your changes throughly to cut down on the number of commits.

Regards,
Randy
