[M3devel] FW: bad code on PPC_LINUX?

Removing -fPIC seems to fix this, though the code still stinks and the frame is still huge (700+ bytes).
Even with -O, even without -gstabs (adding/removing -gstabs shouldn't matter but I tried anyway)
