Floppies, what a luxury!  I had to deal with paper tape, punched cards, and hard-wired plug boards to program old IBM tabulating machines.  I've found no better finger muscle exercise than "typing" for hours on an old ITT canary-yellow roll paper teletype machine with a paper tape punch.
 
And no, I don't long for the "good 'ol days" because in many ways they weren't so good...
