cm3 defines some things, like:

C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(54):        Quake.Define(mach, "TARGET", MxConfig.HOST);
C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(55):        Quake.Define(mach, "OS_TYPE", MxConfig.HOST_OS_TYPE);
C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(61):        Quake.Define(mach, "WORD_SIZE", MxConfig.HOST_WORD_SIZE);
C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(66):        Quake.Define(mach, "HOST", MxConfig.HOST);
C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(67):        Quake.Define(mach, "HOST_OS_TYPE", MxConfig.HOST_OS_TYPE);
C:\dev2\cm3.2\m3-sys\cm3\src\Main.m3(68):        Quake.Define(mach, "HOST_GNU_MAKE", Version.GNUMake);

all the other m3quake users don't get this.

Would it be too polluting to move this to m3quake, thereby making m3quake just not a generic scripting language, but slightly specific to building Modula-3 stuff?

I'll hold off for now.
