Just a note that I have 5.4.0 running on Solaris. I've run its formsedit many times, never a crash. It crashes at least 10% of the time in the current tree. I tried copying all the "nearby" code, that merely turned my assertion back into SIGSEGV. Indeed the nearby diffs are not significant. - Jay
