Well, if someone just wants black on white or vice versa for everything,
that should be easy with modern browsers (just don't allow pages
to use their own colours).

I also don't want to spend time on this now; so a collection of other
sites with better layout and design is of no help.

There was one concrete suggestion which I think is a improvement,
so I tried that while doing some structural changes. I can switch
back if needed.
Everything else is left for people with more ambition and knowledge
in graphical design.

To make everyone happy concerning colours, we'll probably have to
offer several schemes which can be switched via the GUI. If someone
can implement that quickly, I'll happily apply it, too :-) I don't
know offhand how to do that with style sheets.

I'll now concentrate again on the issues for the next RC.
