Interesting, there's a .deb for AMD64 (which seems to be 5.8.6), but not 
for LINUXLIBC6, the 32-bit Intel platform (where there are .tgz's for 
5.8.5).  So if yout system is 32-but, you'll have to go the .tgz route.
