Can you try with each of the following?

Also, if possible, can you print the stack dump immediately before the assertion error is printed out?  That means setting a breakpoint on the Raise function that reports assertion failures.  I think it is RTHooks__Raise.  Or perhaps RTHooks__ReportFault.  I don't recall exactly.
