Why can't' I get cvs to give me m3-db/odbc/src/POSIX/m3makefile?

According to
rodney at allegheny:~/proj/m3/cm3-head/cm3/m3-db/odbc/src/POSIX$ cvs log m3makefile.

another 1500 lines of cloned C headers gone, now that compiler
accepts Win32 calling conventions on all platforms
These files were essentially otherwise identical.
The log file we define in terms of Compiler.OS.
WinDef.HWND is basically ADDRESS on all platforms already.
Again the "Win32" directory is now "common" or "only".

it was restored. But I can't get it. My cvs book says, for cvs update, -d option

"Without this option, update only operates on the directories present in the working
copy; new files are brought down from the repository, but new directories are not."

This directory is present in my working copy.

Without the m3makefile, I odbc won't build.
