[M3devel] names in (hopefully) upcoming changes

I doubt the OpenVMS port is being used.It may or may not be complete.

I managed to construct a Mac-hosted OpenVMS-targeted gcc.I built a native gcc with it. I didn't set the environment variables on the OpenVMS machinefor it to work.
The biggest problem in all that is building the "sysroot".i.e. the headers and libraries.
I built a bootstrap archive with cm3cg.I went to the trouble of building a ".com" file (makefile/scripty thing). So I might have gotten a "cm3" out of it. I don't remember.

If someone has an OpenVMS machine available via ssh I might give it a try.I was working on an Alpha. I can see if it is still available.

Also of note -- IA64 would need a little work, for all operating systems -- OpenVMS, HP-UX, Linux, FreeBSD, NT -- to scan the upper half of the stack.

Thanks, - Jay

Just wondering if the OpenVMS port is being used or if indeed its been tested.I used VMS years ago but thought it went the way of the dodo when DEC bit the dust.
