[M3devel] M3Mid/M3Middle?

The compiler's being broken into several packages sometimes makes
it hard to get info from where it is known to where it is needed.
I did something kludgy about size of WIDECHAR.  I don't remember
details right now.  M3Middle sounds OK.  Is m3middle the lowest
package in the compiler?
