Log message:
	do the tag checking using unsigned integers to satisfy
	m3cc/configure -enable-checking=all
	and wants the three types to all be the same (two inputs, one output)
	but we make the output unconditionally unsigned, so the inputs
	should also be unsigned
	this seems reasonable, but kind of reasonable either way
