DCVS is a compatible extension of CVS (done by Elego) for a
network of distributed CVS servers, which also features snapshots
and changesets (which should have been ported back to CVS, but nobody
has done that yet). It has never come into wide use, as SVN's rise
has been too thriving and their marketing too good :-)

We're now doing much with SVN ourselves, but are still using DCVS
for some internal purposes.

I still do not suggest to change anything for CM3, just wanted
to mention that it's really not that hard to extend CVS with
changesets etc.
