The problems are larger that just those, sadly, as a build attempt will 
quickly reveal.

The universe would be very happy to have a working, maintained modula-3 
compiler that would build cvsup. Whether that involves more patches to 
cvsup or changes to cm3, either way it would be a Good Thing(tm). Sadly, 
my almost non-extant modula-3 foo isn't up to the task, or I'd volunteer.

Given my deadlines, I'm going to punt and try and get 5.4.0 to work and 
give up a clean 64-bit version.
