Well, I just checked the entire cm3 out from cvs yesterday (or was it the 
evening before?  No earlier, anyway.).

Perhaps this is the problem.  What is the pm3 vs cm3 check?

So I should see where the extraneous interfece comes from and try to get 
rid of it.
