[M3devel] CM3 5.8 release engineering status

Hi again,

I just updated https://projects.elego.de/cm3/roadmap.

The current Tinderbox and Hudson status look OK, so I've started
to build some installation archives for RC2.

Several machines have been integrated into the Hudson regression;
there are some connection problems though, which sometimes lead
to broken builds.

I've been able to create installation archives for AMD64_LINUX,
LINUXLIBC6, FreeBSD4 and PPC_DARWIN. SOLgnu and I386_OPENBSD maybe
tomorrow, if nobody else is faster.

To contribute, check out the release branch and execute make-dist.sh

   cvs checkout -r release_branch_cm3_5_8 cm3
   cd cm3/scripts
   SHIPRC=yes ./make-dist.sh

should do the trick and copy the resulting packages to birch via scp.

I'll be away for most of the remaining weekend, but will look into the
mail now and then.

I've moved the downloads to their own page, but otherwise not changed
much in the documentation. There's still a lot to do.

I'd appreciate feedback of any installation successes and failures.
