[M3devel] compiler status lines, output in a burst

Hi Guys,

I just downloaded the latest tarball, and started compiling
it with a compiler built from 20090724 (three days ago).

I noticed that the output looked "jerky", unlike the
normal behavior.  Looking closer, it appears that the 
compiler descends into a package, announces that it has
started, then waits.  A few seconds later it emits all
the ( new-source -> foo.[im]3 ) and similar lines in 
one burst.

Did someone remove the flush at the end of a line of text?
