[M3devel] cvs size

I just downloaded the entire CVS using cvsup and the 
control file with the non-comment lines

*default host=modula3.elegosoft.com

*default base=/farhome/hendrik/cm3/CVSUP/cvs
*default prefix=/farhome/hendrik/cm3/CVSUP/cvs

*default compress
*default preserve

and it ended up using a big pile of disk space:

#cvsroot
hendrik at lovesong:~/cm3/CVSUP$ du -s cvs
1390120	cvs
hendrik at lovesong:~/cm3/CVSUP$ 


Is it likely that I've got everything that the m3 
developers might want to have in a distributed versioning 
system?  If so, I'll start experimenting with conversions.
