I will try to set up an automated cvsup test at the weekend.
In our DCVS distribution we had quite a few replication tests;
perhaps I can burrow something from that.

It won't go into m3tests though, but rather be a subdir to cvsup.
m3-sys/m3tests is for language/compiler tests.
