Jay, is there any chance we can put your M3C backend stuff in a separate library.
I don’t understand why we are adding clutter to m3middle.

Similarly, your hacks to m3cgcat to run your C backend should be duplicated in the C backend space rather than in m3cgcat.

I’d prefer to keep m3middle as pristine as it was previously if only to avoid confusion for others.
