[M3devel] UI libraries

If I had the time, I would opt for

the IUP portable interface library
(http://www.tecgraf.puc-rio.br/iup/)

Bindings for that one are particularly easy to make.
Only drawback: The next release will implement
UTF-8 text for all platforms (the existing version has
ASCII for Win32 and UTF-8 for GTK).

I would myself like M3 to step back to the good old
SRC-PM3 text system (but UTF-8 encoded)
preferably to the actual dual CHAR-WCHAR text
machinery).

I also think that it was Microsoft's biggest mistake
to impose 16-bit characters which are still variable
length (think of surrogates) without the advantages
UTF-8 offers.
