Cm3 has had 16bit WIDECHAR for over 10 years now.
This is plenty to support most languages.
Yes, I know, these days Unicode is a I think a 20bit encoding.
I don't like Trestle either, but how we convert it take widen any TEXT to WIDECHARs (16 or
32bits then truncate to 16bits and use the "16" stuff in X?)
